How might i go about getting into pharmaceutical/clinical research?

Im going into my junior year of high school and would like to start planning my future more than just "this is what i wanna do" What would be the recommended/best college major? bachelors, masters, more? How do i go about finding that kind of job? What do the college loans usually come out to in the end? How much does an entry level position make? Is there anything else i need to know? basically im just asking for ANY sort of information that will help me get going in the right direction.
