Why are people willing to remain ignorant about medical marijuana.?

I characterize myself as a honest person. My parents recently had to help me out with money which I now have a full time job and am paying them back. They told me to get the money I got from them I had to quit smoking pot. I promised to not smoke until it is legal (Which better be in 2012 VOTE YES DON"T BE IGNORANT or at least do the RESEARCH before you VOTE) even though I am a 215 user and it is the only thing that works for my numerous medical issues. Since smoking pot I have not had to make all the hospital trips I have had to before. Several friends have also told me I was a nicer person when smoking pot these people knew me very well and have been with me my whole life. I am a ticked of angry individual when I don't smoke due to all my medical disorder including a bit bi-polar. Sorry if this all sounds like a sad story I shall get to the point. I have several questions the first being why are people so scared to actually research pot? I mean it's almost like people are afraid of the truth. Second why are people so darned trusting in a FAILING USA GOVERNMENT. Why are people willing to not back up a government that can't run a country but they are willing to back up the lies about pot? Third is the government every gonna let pot be legal or do you think every time the vote wins they will rig it so it does not? I benefit strongly from this medical miracle that GOD GAVE ME not a pharmaceutical company. And to those who voted NO on prop 19 thank you I am now back on pills that totally screw me up mentally and physically.
