My camera shutter is acting odd at higher shutter speeds. Is it bad for my camera?

The exif data on your image states that the flash didn't fire. Is it correct? This phenomenon will occur if the shutter speed is faster than the flash's maximum synch speed, which is usually 1/250 sec. Otherwise, the demise is on its way. It's time to send the camera to the shop.
